St Ives pupils are going places...

Welcome to St Ives

We are an independent school for girls and boys in Haslemere, Surrey and our pupils are going places!

At St Ives School in Haslemere we offer an outstanding education within a fun, supportive community where the individual progress of each pupil is celebrated so that they grow in confidence. St Ives is a school for girls aged 2 to 11 and boys aged 2 to 7. As part of United Learning, the school benefits from the investment and expertise that comes from being part of a group, while retaining the individuality and special atmosphere that has made St Ives so loved by it's pupils and parents since it first opened its doors in 1911.

From inspiring lessons to outdoor teambuilding activities, working hard and having fun go hand in hand at St Ives School. We create a supportive, secure environment in which pupils can grow and flourish as individuals enjoy a great sense of freedom. Expectations and standards are high in all areas of school life and every pupil is encouraged to aspire to be the best they can be; we are well known for our excellent ‘added value’. St Ives is a welcoming, happy community which is affordable to all, with day rates starting at just £48 for pre-prep pupils. Pupils enjoy constructive relationships with teaching staff in the classroom and great friendships with their peers.

The best way to really get to know a school is to see it for yourself and we look forward to welcoming you to St Ives School at one of our Open Mornings or for a personal tour.

Two of my daughters have gone to this nursery (one of them is there currently). I couldn't be happier with it - the staff are all great, the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed and the children are all very happy.

The Ivies is just a really special place! I have two daughters both who attend and love it. The staff there are creative, sensitive, fun and caring and really look after the children making sure that they are safe and secure but also developing skills, curiosity and a love of learning.

Parent 2016

My daughter knows the teachers in the school and they know her, it is friendly, warm and really knows it's stuff when it comes to child development.

A great nursery which has gone from strength to strength over the last few years. I have had two daughters attend for their preschool years and would highly recommend it. It's a fun, caring nursery where both my children were extremely happy.

Parent 2016

Really nice nurturing environment, in lovely setting. Most important is how much my daughter loves it there - so much so she often doesn't want to come home!

Parent 2016

My son, like all boys needs to get outside and be physical and the outdoor space at St Ives is an adventure park with lots of space to run and wonderful views, for him to run around in.

Parent 2016

We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery for our son. There are many positives; the daily afternoon activities (forest school, cooking, ballet, etc) was one of the main deciding factors when we chose The Ivies, but it's really the staff who have exceeded expectations. You really get a sense they genuinely care about each child, know what they are interested in, and notice when they need support.

I love St Ives so much because we learn lots and we do lots of sport and Forest School. I really enjoy everything!
