The Ivies

Co-ed nursery for 2-4 year olds

Our friendly, enthusiastic and experienced team is highly trained in Early Years education and provides a warm, caring environment where children learn to be independent, confident, sociable and develop a positive approach to learning.

Each session is carefully planned to stimulate each child’s social, physical and intellectual growth, while maintaining a real sense of fun and enjoyment.  Our children have full access to our outdoor play areas as well as a range of facilities at the school, such as the gym and extensive woodland and Forest School area, giving them a huge variety of things to see, do and experiment with.

Every day offers something different, and with specialist activities including Forest School, Swimming, Dance, Little Linguists and Crafty Chefs, your child will be receiving the very best nursery education available.  All these activities are included in our fees and there are no extra charges for special activities.

Come and see what taking playing seriously looks like

We have 'Stay and Play' every Thursday from 9.30am - 11.00am. Term Time only.

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, these sessions are currently on hold.  We aim to re-instate them, as soon as it is safe to do so.

Reception readiness

We know that nursery is the first steps in your child’s school career and that they will soon be taking the leap to ‘big school’. The transition from the nursery environment to Reception can be daunting, with a lot of changes, which is why we make sure our little Ivies are totally ready to start reception with our ‘Reception Readiness’ sessions. These weekly sessions run from the start of the Summer Term to the end of the academic year for Ivies and external children registered to join our Reception class the following September and are totally free of charge.

Early Years Foundation Stage Inspection Report

We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery for our son. There are many positives; the daily afternoon activities (forest school, cooking, ballet, etc) was one of the main deciding factors when we chose The Ivies, but it's really the staff who have exceeded expectations. You really get a sense they genuinely care about each child, know what they are interested in, and notice when they need support.

A great nursery which has gone from strength to strength over the last few years. I have had two daughters attend for their preschool years and would highly recommend it. It's a fun, caring nursery where both my children were extremely happy.

The Ivies is just a really special place! I have two daughters both who attend and love it. The staff there are creative, sensitive, fun and caring and really look after the children making sure that they are safe and secure but also developing skills, curiosity and a love of learning.

Two of my daughters have gone to this nursery (one of them is there currently). I couldn't be happier with it - the staff are all great, the atmosphere is lovely and relaxed and the children are all very happy.
