Pastoral Care

  • Live form time / registration daily for all children.  Monday and Friday sessions will be extended so pupils can get together with their friends and their form teacher to discuss the week and have some fun!
  • Head Teacher’s weekly messages – Mrs Goldworthy is recording a weekly message for pupils, being sent via email so she can keep in touch.
  • Live Weekly Celebration assemblies.  These are held every Thursday and highlight hard work and achievement from pupils.
  • Wellbeing Wednesdays – this is an opportunity to talk to Mrs Duggin (PSHE Lead) via Teams to discuss any concerns. (This replaces the Worry Box we have at school).
  • Mrs Goldsworthy’s Golden Hour – this is an opportunity to reflect on the week.  Mrs Goldsworthy is also running a fun general knowledge quiz for everyone to have some fun via Teams!
  • Year 6 Friday Lunch – Mrs Goldsworthy and Year 6 will be joining together via Teams to eat lunch together, as they do at school.
  • Bedtime Stories  - Mrs Goldsworthy, Mrs Duggin, Miss Green and Miss Jackson are taking it in turns to read the children bedtime stories, which are being sent to their homes via email.  These are predominantly targeted at Pre-Prep children, but everyone is welcome to listen!
  • Weekly newsletters – we are continuing with our weekly newsletter to keep children and parents connected to life at St Ives.  Pupils (and their parents) are sending in their news and photos so we can stay connected and together.
  • Social media – we are continuing to use Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to reflect life at St Ives and keep our community connected.

Whilst the school is closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are working hard to ensure that all pupils continue to experience an enriching and fulfilling St Ives curriculum.  This aims to continue pupils’ progress, consolidate their learning and help them remain healthy, both physically and mentally. It is also extremely important to us that our pupils and parents continue to feel a part of the St Ives community so that we can stay “Together Whilst Apart”.
