New Eco Monitors

Introducing our new Eco Monitors for this academic year. These pupils will make sure we continue our outstanding environmental work that earned us an Eco-School Green Flag last year and made us a finalist at the Independent School of the Year Awards in the Environmental category.

Forest School Club

Forest School Club is even more exciting now we're working in the dark! This week we made bird feeders out of pinecones. We used a screwdriver & string to fix a screw on the pinecones & then added bird seed. We hope the birds enjoy their meals!

Anti-Bullying Week

We've kicked off Anti- Bullying Week by wearing odd socks to school & watching the Odd Sock Assembly 'United Against Bullying' to celebrate individuality and uniqueness!

Year 1 Science

This half term, Year 1 will be learning about the human body in Science. The children talked about body parts they know & learnt what they do. They then had great fun labelling each other!

Reception's Topic on Space

Reception are loving their topic on Space. The children learnt about the order of the planets & created their own fact files. They are now making papier-mâché planet mobiles. Watch this space for the finished works!

Year 2 Maths

Year 2 have been learning about positional vocabulary and direction in Maths.... in a very practical way. They may even be enjoying themselves. Whatever next?!

Fireworks Party

Always one of the highlight of the St Ives calendar and nothing was going to stop us having a fab fireworks night. We may have been in our separate bubbles, but our screams of delight were definitely united! Thank you to our fabulous parent body (Friends of St Ives) for organising it. We had a fantastic time!

Year 3 Make Slippers in DT

Year 3 have loved making slippers in DT and were so excited to show off their finished products. We're not surprised - they look fantastic. They should be very proud of themselves!

Individual Time

Every week our Pre-prep children have 'Individual Time'. This is when teachers consider each child's individual needs & create a personalised piece of work just for them. This is invaluable in plugging gaps as well as stretching & challenging.
