St George's Day celebrations

What a very special St George's Day we've had at St Ives. The Year 6 girls took part in the wreath laying service and the raising of the flag in the town along with the Mayor of Haslemere. St George's Day celebrations also took place back at school with all pupils enjoying a thoroughly English day. They maypole danced, laughed through a Punch and Judy show, made a St George's flag out of red and white roses and ate fish and chips for lunch. What fun!
