Pre-Prep (R, Y1-2)

Our relaxed family atmosphere creates the best learning environment which empowers the girls to question and challenge with confidence.

Our small class sizes are crucial in providing a high level of staff involvement, particularly when establishing key skills such as numeracy and literacy.  The class teacher provides academic continuity and strong pastoral care for most of the curriculum ably supported by our classroom assistants.  From reception onwards specialist teachers extend the curriculum in areas such as PE, Music, French, PSRE (personal, social and religious education) and IT.

The pre prep classes are located in The Ivies, a purpose built building providing light and spacious classrooms and a large outdoor play area.

Typical Events and Outings

Reception; Secretts Farm Shop, Sea Life Centre

Year 1; Weald and Down Land Museum, Pulborough Brooks

Year 2; Knowle House, Beaulieu, London Transport Museum.

Beyond the curriculum girls enjoy a wide range of opportunities such as clubs, tennis, ballet and speech and drama.
