St Ives pupils are going places...

My daughter knows the teachers in the school and they know her, it is friendly, warm and really knows it's stuff when it comes to child development.

Really nice nurturing environment, in lovely setting. Most important is how much my daughter loves it there - so much so she often doesn't want to come home!

My son, like all boys needs to get outside and be physical and the outdoor space at St Ives is an adventure park with lots of space to run and wonderful views, for him to run around in.

I try to savour my days at St Ives as they are best school days I will ever have.

St Ives is a really exciting place to be, with so many fun activities and extra-curricular clubs so you’re never left out.

If I had to sum up St Ives in one word it would be AMAZING!

St Ives is caring and supportive, we are like a big family.

St Ives may look small but actually it is exploding with education excitement and fun, all of the teachers are inspiring in each and every lesson.

St Ives is a school which is full of opportunities to achieve great things.

St Ives is a non-selective school renowned for its successes both in and out of the classroom.

During your child’s journey at St Ives we aim to foster a love of learning, help them to explore their curiosity and see the world from a wide perspective. Boys and girls leave us with a strong sense of personal, as well as academic achievement, possessing the independence, confidence and self-reliance needed to embrace prep school, senior school and beyond.

While we use the National Curriculum, Common Entrance syllabus and Early Years Foundation Stage as our framework and place the skills of numeracy and literacy at the heart of our curriculum, we enhance our offering to provide a richer and more rounded programme. With time and enthusiasm injected into the creative arts, humanities, languages, sciences information technology, religious education, physical education and PSE (personal, social education) our children experience a broader, more detailed and comprehensive education.

Pupils at St Ives are fortunate to benefit from small class sizes and specialist teachers in some subjects. Learning support is readily available where appropriate, either individually or as classroom support and works in conjunction with the main stream curriculum.

Our co-ed model has been designed to offer the very best educational environment to all our pupils, you can find out more about our school structure here
