FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A website can only hope to capture the essence of any school and is certainly no substitute for a visit. St Ives aims to help your children grow intellectually and spiritually into girls of whom we are all proud, who are not afraid of new challenges and who relish the wide range of opportunities that our school can offer them.
Below we attempt to answer some of the more frequent questions we get. |

If my child is ill, do I have to contact the school each day?
Yes, you do need to ring every day to let us know the situation. The telephone number is: 01428-643734 or you can email on : admin@stiveshaslemere.com.
How can I find out about my child's progress at school?
We will send you a report every term. You will also have a meeting with the teacher at regular Parents’ Evenings. You can also make an appointment at any time if you have any concerns.

Can my child be taken on holiday in term time?
Please do not take your holiday in term time. If you need to make an exceptional arrangement, you must speak to the Head and complete a holiday request form.
What if my child needs medicine in school?
Medicines should be left with the School Secretary. We only give medicine if a doctor has prescribed four doses each day and you have signed the medical form at reception. If your child needs regular medication, e.g. for asthma, please talk to the Head. Please tell us about medical conditions that affect your child’s health so that we can give special care
